'Congress left no stone unturned in insulting Patel'

Addressing a rally in Ahmedabad in the evening, Shah alleged that successive Congress governments dragged their feet over the Narmada dam project because Sardar Patel’s name was connected with it. “Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation of the project even before I was born. I am now 58 years old. After Nehru, there was Indira Gandhi, then Rajiv Gandhi and then Sonia Gandhi, but the project kept lingering because Sardar Patel’s name was connected to it,” he said.
