The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies- the Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress have called for a Maharashtra Bandh today to protest against the killing of four farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. In Mumbai and adjoining areas, shops remain closed. Whereas, at least nine BEST buses were damaged by unknown persons by pelting stones in various places. A senior BEST official said that bus operations are now shut across island city. The Mumbai Police has deployed the maximum manpower at their disposal on the streets today to prevent any untoward incident. Stay tuned for latest updates here:
