National sports awards function goes 'virtual'

National Sports Day awards ceremony will take place in a virtual environment this year, sources confirmed to TOI, where the selected athletes, coaches and other winners will connect live to the President’s House from nearby-situated SAI's centres after assembling there on Saturday next week. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Doordarshan (DD), it’s been learnt.
